Note, I said "going to", because even though we left Korea almost two months ago, the kids and I are not yet in Philly. My husband has been living in a hotel while we are on the other side of the state (about seven hours away by car).

The house search was rough and took longer than expected. The first house we made an offer on was not accepted and we did not accept their counter. The second house we made an offer on was in a great area but needed a lot of work. Our offer was significantly higher than the other offer, but we required an inspection (a standard home buying practice in the US), and the other people did not. The owner took the lower offer. Hmmm.. seems like we dodged a bullet there.
Finally, we came to an agreement on a third house and are supposed to close on it at the end of October. So, finally in November, we will move.
The Mountain Buggy swift (which was damaged in an incident in Korea) arrived in our quick shipment. We replaced the wheels and axles and thankfully, it is now back in top shape!

I am going to be able to test the swift out on sand as we head to Hawaii for a little vacation. Ian used his frequent flier miles to get free tickets for himself and Eva - our last reward from expat life!
And the big news is... that I took a pregnancy test on the way to the airport before leaving Korea and it was positive! International move + the first trimester = bad plan, but I survived. I'm starting not to feel exhausted all the time and couldn't quite place what that feeling was, but I think it means I'm coming through! I can now pull my Mountain Buggy urban double out of retirement!
