Nesting & Naming - Week 32

Written by Gretchen Hayes

Nesting & Naming - two of the more fun, or potentially stressful, aspects during the 9 month gestation period. My favorite friend 'google' informs me that nesting means 'to build or having a nest.' A little deeper into the search (OK, the next search result), yielded that nesting is a term that is commonly characterized as a strong urge to clean and organize one's nest. My friends - we are in full effect when it comes to nesting... and naming.

Bolderwood Deer Santuary

There is something so invigorating and reviving about spending the day in the fresh air and what better place than one of the most beautiful parts of the New Forest National Park - Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary.

Introducing Baby Girls Rock!

Written by Gretchen Hayes

I miss running. I miss running... alot. I also miss walking my overly excited awesome dog Doug for more than 9 1/2 minutes without becoming completely winded, swearing at myself under my breath. Who knew that both physical acts were such a luxury and not to be taken for granted?!!

The joey: as bottomless as Santa's present sack

Written by Mountain Buggy

You always get told before having kids that they need lots of stuff to leave the house. What they don't tell you is that they really have lots and LOTS of stuff, in addition to buying more groceries and the inevitable errand running that comes along with being a parent. I've become a regular packhorse these days, and I'm just on my first child!

Dads' Army

Written by Mountain Buggy

Happy Fathers Day to all across the globe who are celebrating it today! It's that special Sunday of the year where our 'heroes' who are bigger, stronger and wiser than everybody else, are celebrated for being our knights in shining armour. No matter what size, shape or form our dads come in, we can always count on 'good ole dad' to put things right, to protect us when in need, and to catch us when we fall.

Mountain Buggy duet and joey

Written by Mel Harrison

Here I was lamenting the possibility of giving up my duet. Quinn is at preschool now and is starting school next year so the Mountain Buggy duet was being used less and less. I was really not looking forward to giving it up, so when I stumbled across a tweet about joey, I literally jumped up and down in excitement. This was it! This was exactly what I needed, especially as a non-driver the extra storage space is essential. I loved the flexibility of being able to put the second seat back on if I am spending a full day out that requires another seat. It really is a win/win!

Mummy’s taking us to the zoo tomorrow....

Written by Marie Houlden

Our British weather is just so temperamental; we have gone from experiencing a very wet and windy May bank holiday, to an astonishing heat wave in only a matter of weeks! Ten long and glorious days of sunshine, filled with outdoor fun, lots of laughter and most importantly ice cream!

The 2012 Urchfont Scarecrow Festival!

Written by Marie Houlden

So with another wet and windy May Bank Holiday upon us, we pack up the car with the children, supplies and our trusty Mountain Buggy terrain and head up to Wiltshire to visit the grandparents. Being avid walkers we won’t let a little bit of wind and rain stop us, and so I double check that I have got the storm cover for the terrain in the car. I love that it folds down so neatly and sits snugly in the gear tray.
