Mountain Buggy are all about getting families out there and living life without limit! But what about helping those with no children? Late last year, we were approached with a peculiar proposal by James Thomas - a photographer, filmmaker and aspiring adventurer, to sponsor him with the all mighty Mountain Buggy terrain.
I never knew when I was expecting our first baby that once I was a mum, I would also become a pramaholic! Over the years, I’ve managed to avoid the common compulsions for shoes, clothes and make up. But buggies are a different story, to the point where my husband would describe me as being obsessed with buggies. He just doesn’t understand the attraction of buggies to me, and thinks I’ve gone insane. The Christmas ornaments were one of the few things we could easily find after our move. However, since everything else was EVERYWHERE else all over the house, we decided to keep Christmas decorations small this year.
I am 26 weeks along with baby #3, AKA 'Baby Jaguar'. You can get an idea about my first trimester in that the kids' suggestions for names are "Dora" and "Diego" (cartoon characters from kids shows). When I told them that I didn't think we'd be using those names, Ian said,"OK, how about 'Boots' or 'Baby Jaguar'?" (More characters from those shows). We did not find out the sex of #3. We've decided to be surprised this time so we can't name the baby before he/she is born, and I decided to throw the kids a bone and call the baby, "Baby Jaguar" until birth.
We left Korea at the end of July, and had several departure dates to complete our move that came and went for various reasons. It’s that time of year again, when the community naturally comes together to celebrate Christmas. Our family spent the evening at the local Christmas Carols. It was a lovely, relaxing evening and we all had so much fun.
It was a family affair as we went the extra mile to walk in the Skecher’s Pier to Pier Friendship Walk. The proceeds of this walk benefit children with special needs and education. Contributions were also donated to six schools within our community. It was a fabulous day! It was sunny and warm, and there were so many families in my community walking just under 5 miles for the cause.
We received this story from a mum in the USA, who looked far and wide for the perfect stroller for her precious daughter. Such a heart warming story shared, and it really gave the Mountain Buggy team the warmest of fuzzies to know that our new inline system - +one - has helped a family in need! Read more of Kristy and Bella's story... I'd like to share our story in hopes that it may serve as a stroller solution to parents who have special needs children.
Our Mountain Buggy duo mummy Tabatha, has been going hard out there in her community, campaigning to "Stop Talking, Start Walking!" with awesome results! Read about her inspiring campaign and how she is encouraging families to get out there and live life without limit!
