Well for those of us wintering in the South, spring actually began a month ago. While a large majority of the rest of the country has remained under snow, the weather here has been a beautiful average of 75 degrees and sunny. Back when when my husband and I were just talking about pregnancy and Olivia was simply a little star somewhere glittering in the sky, we decided that it was time for a lifestyle change. I became obsessed with creating an environment that was as natural and pristine as possible for the child we'd be bringing into the world. We'd always leaned toward the eco-friendly route, so making a few more changes wasn't too difficult for us and that's when we jumped on the organic/all-natural bandwagon. Olivia will be turning a year old next month and I can't even believe her first birthday is already just around the corner! Everyone told me that the time would fly but when you're living it, the moment feels as if it's crawling by. It's not until you're able to look back that you realize just how much time has passed in a blur. March was a very busy month. We flew from Korea to St. Louis, Missouri for my Hypnobabies Instructor training. This time, we brought along the Mountain Buggy swift. Going from Korea to the US always involves about 24 hours (or more) and several flights for us to get to our final destination, door-to-door. For this trip, we were gone 17 days, so there was no way to travel light. We really never travel very light, anyway! As we all know, the Mountain Buggy freerider has already landed in all parts of the world, and our Mountain Buggy faithful Connie from Brighton (UK) was one of the first to receive one of these beauties! She shares her excitement... Well hello again! It's been quite a while, and I've been quite the slacker lately when it's come to writing. It's certainly amazing how easily life can get away from you when you become a parent, which is yet one more thing that I was unprepared for. I've been slacking on the blogging front as I seemed to have gotten caught up in the parenting whirlwind - it’s been crazy! I'm sure there are a few of you who can relate to that. Written by Eco-Mom Pier Avenue, the main street in Hermosa Beach, was filled with over 100 parade goers from all walks of life for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We had clowns, horses, dogs, bike riders, marching bands, storm troopers, sport leagues, motorcyclists, vintage and futuristic cars and yes, even a walking group with strollers... that would be me! American world class champion Kara Goucher is in fine form with with her Mountain Buggy terrain. But you wouldn't expect anything less from this top female marathon runner, Kara proves that going that extra mile pays off, as she trains to get ready for the Boston Marathon, just 6 months after giving birth to her first son Colt. I don't know about any other mummies out there, but with me, as soon as my baby's have hit the age of one, I have gotten the feeling that I am back on track with 'me'. |
