Hello Mountain Buggy. I just happened upon your blog, and thought I just had to comment. I am a N.A.M.D. (new age Maori dad). I am fortunate enough to have my own business which allows me to look after our two under 5's for three days of the week, while Nana and Papa look after them the other two. Sure business has been effected by this, and I tend to work late in the evenings trying to keep the clients happy, but I feel blessed and humbled to be able to spend time with them while they are this age. We try to get out every day to ward of the cabin fever and get some exercise by swimming and running around at the local parks and beaches (weather permitting). And I am amazed at the amount of Dads hanging out with their kids. GO DADS! In this day and age, where everyday items and services are so expensive, It has become harder and harder to get by on just one income. So I feel blessed to be given the chance to spend time and bond with my kids, and help them learn, and in turn they are also teaching me about being a Dad, a role-model and a friend. Love a Dad x
