Exercising is free!

As I say so often, exercising is free! All you need is the motivation to get going! Unfortunately this is something we all, at one time or another suffer from - lack of motivation. So how do you stay focussed, how do you overcome that voice in your head that says, "ah I donʼt feel like it", "ah Iʼll do it tomorrow", or later in the day (which as you and I both know... it never happens!)

Exercise to Reduce Your Risk

By Kristen Horler, CEO & Founder of Baby Boot Camp www.babybootcamp.com

You probably already know that regular exercise is important for you both mentally and physically. The great news is that research now shows that exercise can reduce your risk of breast cancer too. Exercise not only improves quality of life, but it also helps breast cancer survivors lead a more active life by improving the ability to perform daily activities and reduce cancer-related fatigue. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to share some tips to help you reduce your risk of breast cancer.

Back to Active

How has it been 6 months since Lila was born? I don't know. How have I avoided regular exercise (chasing kids does not count)? Well, it seems to be my pattern to be lost in baby land and wake up 6 months later. I have lost all the baby weight. Thank you, fast metabolism + breastfeeding. However, breastfeeding may help with the fat, but not the flab. So, I have decided that it is time to get active again.

It’s not easy being a mom. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, and the never ending pile of laundry… and the paycheck? Well, it certainly doesn’t cover the cost of a personal trainer. Short on time? Too tired to exercise? Without exercise, you’ll be left with little energy to make it through your day. Follow these 3 simple steps to break the cycle and spring into a new fitness routine, so you make it through your day with more energy and better sleep (just what every mom needs!)

Just du-et!

It's the start of a new chapter in our house - one of my little ones started school this week, so I decided that I would make good use of some of the time between drop off and collection to try and fit in some regular daily exercise for me!

Seeing is believing!

I was asked to appear in the Mountain Buggy duet video along with my toddler and newborn. I was intrigued about this side-by-side, as I currently have one from another brand, and I just couldn’t get my head around the ‘same width as a single buggy’ concept. I mean, is this for real?!

Fit in February

Despite the 'Run into the New Year' and the running around in every day life, I haven't been successful in exercising this month. But now it is February - a new chance in a new month. I've enlisted the help of Hollie to be my virtual workout partner for "Fit in February".

Resolutions

Thomas Edision said two things:
"Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Accordingly, a 'genius' is often merely a talented person who has done all of his or her homework." AND
"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work."
