Baby University

Last night my hubby and I finally completed our last baby class!  Over the past month, we took "Infant Care and Safety", "Childbirth Education", and "Preparing for Breastfeeding".  It felt like Baby University but it was definitely well worth our time!

Infant Care and Safety covered the basics - how to diaper, swaddle, bathe, etc.  While that might sound simple to most people, I've never done it before so I needed some instructions.  I was surprised at how much my hubby actually knew though.

Child Education - well, I'm sure you can figure out what that was about!  It was interesting though to learn how to time contractions, when to call the doctor, when to go straight to the hospital, and of course, all about pain medications!  We also had a hospital tour which was really helpful.  We now know where to go, where to park, and what to expect out of our hospital visit.

Preparing for Breastfeeding was my favorite class.  I really felt like I needed the most help here.  The teacher was wonderful and explained all of the techniques and the wonderful benefits of nursing.

So I guess that's it.  We are officially ready to become parents!  Baby Molly is due in 33 days and we can't wait to meet her!
