Just going for a stroll...

Mountain Buggy are all about getting families out there and living life without limit! But what about helping those with no children? Late last year, we were approached with a peculiar proposal by James Thomas - a photographer, filmmaker and aspiring adventurer, to sponsor him with the all mighty Mountain Buggy terrain.

In January 2012, James will embark on an epic adventure, walking from Edinburgh in Scotland to Dunedin in New Zealand. This expedition would take him across 3 Continents, through 15 Countries over 2 years and 12,000 miles. Along the way he would be photographing and documenting his amazing journey as he also attempts to raise £1,000,000 for the Worlds leading children’s charity, UNICEF.

While this was a ‘slight shift’ with what Mountain Buggy usually supports (after all, no children involved!), it didn’t take us long to decide that this was a worthy cause due to the positive association of James's adventure - namely its charitable efforts and the high promotion of a healthy and productive lifestyle! And just to add, that James is generally just a nice guy!

So our team sent through to him a new Mountain Buggy terrain, storm cover and tyre pump, as well as some extra spare parts to keep him moving safely. We think what James is embarking on is spectacular, and we wish him all the best for the next 2 years! We feel quite humbled to have been asked by James to help support his worthy cause, and we know that the terrain will not let us down! Our head office won’t get to meet James until 2014, but we will definitely be following him on his journey and sharing his many adventures with you. I myself am originally from Dunedin, New Zealand, so I will be looking forward to meeting him! We would love for you to support him too - check out his website for ways to help and follow him: justgoingforastroll.com
