Being active during pregnancy is SO important, especially due to the vast number of changes that occur in your body.  If exercise classes aren't your thing, or you’ve never exercised before, we suggest starting with short walks. Use this opportunity to take your child(ren) for a walk around a scenic park, downtown, or a nature trail. We love taking new adventures and allowing our children to choose which direction we take. Some of our best adventures involved strapping our kiddos into their stroller, putting on sneakers, and exploring the outdoors!

Be careful not to over-do it while pregnant, though. Take breaks to explore nature, stop for a picnic, and be sure to bring plenty of snacks and water to fuel your body!

"You will feel better for having done something active, and will dramatically help with your digestion and general sense of well-being throughout your pregnancy.  I recommend finding a walking buddy to keep each other accountable.  Ask a friend to commit to a walking schedule with you, and pretty soon, you will be looking forward to the time spent with your friend and kiddos," says Kristen Horler, CEO and founder of Baby Boot Camp.
