I bought a new handle bar for my swift and it was extremely good value for money, arrived three days after purchase and was easy to attach to the pram. Extremely happy!!
Good fit but pricey

The replacement fitted well and is a lot better than the torn up one that was on there. It is a shame that they don't sell just the rubber sleeve to replace as it would be much cheaper and there was nothing wrong with the metal bar. The rubber is not very long lasting either which is a shame for such a good pushchair otherwise.

I bought a replacement handle for a mountain buggy swift pram i purchased 4 years ago - great that I can still get replacement parts for a pram that is no longer the current model. Received the order much faster than expected - I believe 3 days after it was ordered online.

It's so nice to have the complete rubber handle back on the buggy. It was super easy to replace.
It is a pity that the rubber tends to break (on both my Mountain buggies). It would be nice if this wasn't an issue and also that the replacement has to be the entire handlebar rather than just the cover. Other than that it's good to have the buggy back together again.
Great buggy unfortunately let down by the rubber

Great buggy unfortunately let down by the rubber handle bar grip! We used our Terrain mountain buggy for less than a month & the rubber split on the handle bar. Hugely disappointed that it is not covered on warranty & worse that you have to purchase completely new handle bars to replace the rubber!! Waste of materials & poor design feature. A shame to be so disappointed with Mountain buggy
Rubber handle very disappointing

This is the third rubber handle ive had to buy in 2 years. It's very disappointing and should be replaced free of charge or a new better designed handle should be made available. csnt believe it's not covered by warranty. This is clearly a design fault based on the other reviews here.
Apart from that it's been a fantastic buggy. This one issue lets it down. Shame really.

The foam from the original handle peeled off like mandarin skin so I hope this one lasts longer. My Mountain buggy terrain made and purchased for my oldest child in 2000 was of far, far superior quality than my two year old swift and urban elite. Also, parts were replaced free of charge because they rarely broke and were of a much higher quality.

We bought the swift 14 month ago and we are really happy with the product. The handle teared after 5 month from one small cut to a hugh long one an than fell off.
its a sham they can't do better than this.
we always like to recommend this pram to other but its annoying for everyone if u have to replace parts on your own cost when the pram is still unter warranty.
Happy with funtionality, disappointing warranty

I purchased my mountain buggy swift only 7 months ago and am generally pleased with it however the rubber cover on the handle bar cracked after only 4 months use, it has a large gash in it now and based on the Q&A on this website is not covered under warranty. Amazing that it is included as a frequently asked question which to me indicates that it must occur often. Not sure how this can be treated as a "wear and tear" item if it happens within the first 12 months of use.

Grip started splitting a year ago, so we taped it together but it finally totally split so needed replacing.
The Allen key stripped the soft metal on the screw, so hopefully we won't be needing to replace it again... Though next time I reckon I'll just buy some tennis racquet grip instead!!

We purchased a new handle because the rubber had split making it uncomfortable to hold. The pram is over 5 years old - it was a hand me down from my brother/sister in law so ours is the 3rd kid to use it & we are extremely happy with all aspects of it plus the customer service you receive when dealing with Mountain Buggy!!

The handle bar is not good quality. Tore after a month and it's hard to replace the bar. A hex or Allen key should be provided.

I bought the handlebar because the rubber cover in our Swift tear event before 1 year of purchase. We tried to make-do by putting electrical tape around it but it didn't help after a few weeks. Installing the handlebar was very easy. I just hope it won't tear apart easily.

I have also only had my pram 7 months n my handle has split! I have a wagon n nothing else goes in my boot! Dissapointing that I have paid $700 + for a pram that has a cheap rubber handle what a way to get more money out of people! This need to be upgraded/stronger rubber!

Rubber grip split

May 25 2015Y
The rubber grip on our mountain buggy swift split within about 6-7 months of use (1-3 times a week - not everyday!). This was disappointing as we expected better quality for the price; inclusion under warranty. Then there was a LONG wait until handles became available online - months and months. By the time we ordered one we only had about 5 cm of grip still attached and I was extremely concerned about the safety of using the pram without any grip. Everything else about this pram is fantastic but to me the grip is a major flaw and safety issue.

Great buggy apart from the fact my handle has also split after less than a years use. Disappointing as the buggy was not cheap. It seems as though I am not the only one with this issue. It would be great if this was covered under warranty or if you could buy the grip separately rather than buying a complete new handle.

Our rubber handle also split within the first couple of months use. I had thought it was something I had done to cause it to spilt, but after reading all these reveiws I now realise that its a very poor quality component. Has the warranty on this be updated? Or can a better quality handle be purchased that will fit the Swift?

The rubber handle has ruined my experience with the mountain buggy. To be fair, everything else is fine with the pram apart from the fact that there isn't a great deal of space at the bottom of the pram to store the various paraphernalia that goes with growing babies. However, this will be the second time I purchase the rubber handle, each time the handle has lasted no more than 4 months. Why it is not covered at least for the first time under warranty, I certainly don't understand and for this reason I won't be making another mountain buggy purchase in the future.

I also have had my handlebar grip split after 9 months of moderate use......so have two of my friends. I agree, not a good advertisement for mountain buggy as we are all walking around with gaffa/ duct tape on our handles now!

This has also happened to our mountain buggy swift. Love everything about it but now that I have to gaffer tape my handle in order to stop it splitting right off, it doesn't look so good and is disappointing - not a good advertisement for mountain buggy. It seems so many others have the same problem. I hope something can be done soon in order to rectify the situation. I don't expect to have to replace parts on my pram with under 12months use.

while a great buggy very disappointed with the quality of the rubber used, it split very quickly and is not covered by the warranty.
this is a very simple part of the buggy, that has a significant impact on the user, i'm not sure why such low quality rubber has been used.

I too was extremely disappointed after only a couple of months use my rubber was splint in more than one place. I contacted MB & they sent me a link here to purchase a new one :( my MB was basically brand new & only put in the boot of my VW golf. I think it is a fault with the rubber when it is put on the handle, you could see there were "stress" points & sure enough, that's where it split.
