Happy holidays!

The Christmas ornaments were one of the few things we could easily find after our move. However, since everything else was EVERYWHERE else all over the house, we decided to keep Christmas decorations small this year.

I bought a table top live tree and Curt found a string of lights to put on it. The kids made ornaments at the 'Photos with Santa' event they went to, and Ian brought a bunch more home from preschool. I ordered two photo ornaments from this past year's photos and that completes our tree decorations. Curt won a poinsettia at a work event and then couldn't resist buying a few lighted stars for the windows and a bow for the mailbox. Still, we've kept things small since we are still putting things away from the move.

The photos with Santa had a live reindeer. Ian's first Santa photo was in Egypt and included a live camel.

We also went to see the lights and displays at Longwood Gardens. It was freezing cold, but lovely. Eva doesn't believe in socks or coats, so we had her bundled in the Mountain Buggy terrain stroller. She had to agree to put her coat on in order to get out.

Last year, we did a 5K run at midnight to ring in the New Year. We found a daytime 5K, but that is not quite the same. Still, it is a healthy way to celebrate, so we just might do it!

Hope your holiday season is warm and wonderful!
